WTF? Where have we been?

Holy shit, a blog post.

Where have we been some may ask and a good question to be sure.

The summer was full of activity. Here There Be Monsters played their camo asses off around Brighton in the battle of the bands for Bloodstock making it to the final on vocalist Anthony Giles birthday back in July.

Then it was a little bit of time off before Mammothfest where the guys played with many local favourites along with some top UK acts. I would love to tell you who they all were but out of the billed acts I haven’t a clue who did or didn’t show up.

Regardless, the boys played a blinder and got some good praise.

Shortly after, bassist Rich Langridge announced his departure from HTBM. After some serious soul searching, Rich had decided to move on from Brighton, devestated to leave the boys behind but we wish him well in his new ventures in Derby.

The guys regrouped, started talking about the future and with this we welcome Andy Parker (me, that’s strange to write in 3rd person) as 2nd guitarist for HTBM.

Things are already starting to sound a lot louder and a lot meatier. Meanwhile, we’re on the hunt for the final and 5th member of HTBM.

If you’re a bassist in the Brighton area, auditions are being held on Monday nights, the next series are on Monday 29th November at Warner Studios in Brighton.

HTBM through to quarter finals of Bloodstock BOTB

After a rather strange show on Tuesday night at the BOTB for Bloodstock run by the guys behind Mammothfest, HTBM are through to the quarter finals which are next month.

In other Here There Be Monsters news, PK has just left for two weeks in Cyprus with his lovely lady. Even drummers need a break once in a while. The tour tash is gone, bad times. He’s confirmed that he will be starting to grow a new one on his return. Good times!

Ant has started putting together the first instalment of the tour video, which should be out in the next week or so.

As festival season kicks off, we’re looking into sneaking on a couple of bills.

More news next week.
